OVERVIEW

ABOUT

Mercy Housing has begun construction on 221 high-quality affordable homes for low-income families and individuals who have previously experienced homelessness. The development is located on the corner of 7th and Brannan Streets. It will serve qualified households and include amenities such as private indoor and outdoor communal spaces, onsite property management with 24-hour front desk staff, Resident Services programming to support adults, families, and children, and community-serving commercial spaces.

PROJECT SPECIFICS

  • 221 affordable apartment homes for low-income families and individuals

  • 100 studios, 23 one-, 83 two-,15 three-bedroom apartments 

  • Onsite property management with 24-hour front desk coverage

  • Private indoor and outdoor communal spaces

  • Resident Services programming to support adults, families, and children

  • Over 5,000 square feet of community-serving retail space 

  • Over $400,000 dedicated for public art 

STAFFING

  • Management provided by Mercy Housing Management Group (MHMG)

  • Five property management staff, including one senior property manager, and three maintenance staff 

  • One Resident Services Coordinator

  • Five case management staff provided by Episcopal Community Services

COMMITMENT TO COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT

  • Mercy Housing will continue to solicit the local community in the development process through a variety of means, including input from neighbors, neighborhood associations, and local leaders, as well as written and electronic communications. In observance of health guidelines related to COVID-19, Mercy Housing will solicit input through virtual meetings, e-mail, regular mail, and the 7th and Brannan website.  http://www.7thandbrannan.org

FAQs

  • The application for the site permit was submitted in October 2020; approval was received on August 2021
